Hey! My name is Amanda Black and I am from Houston, Texas.  I attend Letourneau University which is located in Longview, Texas.  I am the second oldest of 5 siblings, all 5 of which share the same face!  I love each and every one of them.  My parents and grandma (who's lived with us since I was about 6) are the 3 Godliest people I know.  They love and fear the Lord more than anyone I have ever met in my life.

 

I am majoring in Elementary Education. It's funny, I go to an engineering school so I like to tell everyone I am an "EE" major (which typically means Electrical Engineering) so people assume I am rediculously smart.  Obviously, I love to laugh and joke around, however I am very serious when it comes to spreading the good news of Jesus.  I love digging deeper into the Word and learning anything and everything that will get me that much closer to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.   I play keyboard and sing for quite afew praise bands and have been for a while now.  I love leading worship, however even more I love living worship out everyday!

 

I am SO pumped about this trip to Peru.  I will share more about how I got here in my "how I was called to missions" blog, but know that I have been desiring this for a long time now.  I can't wait to meet every single one of yall!  I can't wait to pray with you, cry with you, witness miracles with you, share the love of Jesus with you, grow closer  to God with you and basically have the adventure of a lifetime with you!
