Just wanted to fill you all in about Host gifts. We will be giving out gifts to the local missionaries and hosts that we will be working with. If each of you could bring a couple things, that would be great. Things that are easy to pack, like T-shirts, hats, and things like that would be best. Also, here are a few thoughts from Crystal about the packing lists and some of the questions you’ve had-

It
DOES get rather chilly here sometimes, especially at the end of June.  I had a 20 degree bag last year (I left it at
home this year) and there was about a week when I would have been grateful for it. Just some thoughts.
Also, there might
be times when everyone has to sleep on the floor (that’s happened when
we had to stay in a school for example, and not at someone’s house), so
some kind of padding is always nice, especially on concrete. I know in Nauta, the chances of us sleeping on a
wood floor and not everyone in hammocks is much greater.  The key is
flexibility (and a happy heart regardless! :))
Electricity
will be sparsely available as far as I know – it’d be worth it to bring
chargers for cameras, ipods, etc – and look for opportunities to take
advantage of them, as well as expect there to be times when they won’t
be available.  If you have a battery op. camera, extra batteries are
for sure adviseable.
